Because of the look on Ned's face when he gets picked up for each visit. He used to dread going to a kennel! Now his face lights up when the Akuna van arrives. He even jumps into the van he is that keen to leave. He treats it like his own holiday resort.

| What is your favourite Ned story? |
When we first moved into a house in Queensland we wanted a small, lap dog that would be low maintenance in the small confines of our home. That was the game plan anyway. Then our housemate bought Ned. We came home to find a cheeky energetic dog that was way to much for our housemate to handle. Our housemate also hadn't realised that Ned was deaf, adding to his frustration. He became abusive towards Ned and wanted to give him back to the dog shelter, where he had found him.
Eventually he moved out and knowing what Ned's future would be if he went back to the shelter, we snapped him up.
We have relocated to Sydney since his 'rescue'. He is happy and well spoiled in his big new Sydney back yard.
While Ned may not have been what we were first looking for, we are sure glad we found him.
