We hated the idea of Diva having to stay in some concrete floored city kennel, without any space. Akuna stood out above the rest for this reason.

Diva was born on Melbourne cup day 2005 so she was named after the great racehorse Makybe Diva.
She has not only lived up to her namesake but has also become quite the diva - striking a regal pose, whilst waiting for us to return home or surveying her territory.
On classic Diva moment was her taking offence at the sound of the cattle ''moo-ing'' on tv - and rushing out to the back yard, thinking the cows are in her backyard - and warning them off with deep threatening barks.
Anything to protect her territory - even cows on tv need to be put in their place!
